The Whistleblower Files was created on September 27, 2019, two days after the Trump White House released the transcript of Trump’s July 25, 2019 phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the Whistleblower Complaint by a CIA officer detailed tot he White House.
It is clear that a historic impeachment showdown is in the offing. There will be an inquiry, and investigation, then a vote in the House and in all likelihood a trial in the Senate. It seems unlikely that Trump will be removed from office –but new facts will emerge, and anything is possible.
Against this backdrop, creating a resource site that contains all of the underlying documents, profiles of all the players including the Ukrainians who are just now being introduced to the American public, seemed a useful idea in the realm of “citizen journalism.”
